Project Manager

Requirements

  • Knowledge of various tools for milling, sanding, boring, etc., and how to operate them safely. 

  • Comprehend the scope of several jobs to facilitate workflow and deliveries.

  • Over see a full job to completion and the production personnel assigned to that job. Must be detail oriented, organized, and have excellent communication skills.

  • Completely understand every project’s requirements 

  • Ability to safely operate woodworking machines, including milling machines and saws 

  • Manage crews to achieve an excellent product in an honorable and fun way. 

  • A good understanding of drawings, schematics, shop drawings, blueprints, and architectural drawings 

  • Knowledge of various hand tools, drip bits, the drill press, hand drills and band saws 

  • Great customer service. Kind and timely responses. Good boundaries. High integrity.  

  • Team communication  

Understanding 

  • In depth understanding of jobsite flow, other trades needs, and what each client needs from us. Knowledge of Lincoln Woodworks preferred methods of production and operation. 

  • Oversight 

  • Understanding the full scope of jobs assigned. How to convey that to production personal and ensure a streamline high quality product. 

  • Ordering 

  • Ensuring everything needed to complete the job is ordered and analogues to the bid pricing. Keeping track of those items through the job process. 

  • Deliveries 

  • Checking the product is correct and excellence in completion according to the design prior to delivery. Ensuring the product is safely packed and ready to deliver prior to delivery day.  Communicate and coordinate delivery with installers and job site superintendent.  

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide necessary resources for everyone on the shop floor to complete their tasks in a safe and timely manner. 

  • Ensure deliveries are complete, trackable, and punctual.  

  • Accurately communicate work scope to production personnel. 

  • Perform work in high production assembly line facility. 

  • Ensure correct hardware/materials are available and accessible for a timely production of products. 

  • Verify dimensions using caliper or rule to ensure assemblies are built appropriately prior to finish process. 

  • Direct the implementation of quality control checks prior to delivery. 

  • Coordinate peer reviews and fill out annual review for each production personal. 

  • Cultivate a safe, caring, and cohesive culture in the shop. 

  • Installation of final product. Hire installers and manage detail of install . 

 

Shared Responsibilities

  • Ordering hardware/materials 

  • Mindfulness of machine use for coworkers work flow 

  • Coming up with realistic production schedules 

  • Inventory of supplies 

  • Communication with client 

  • Cultivate a safe, caring, and cohesive culture in the shop. 

  • Ensure time frames are coordinated with installers and lead estimator. 

  • Pursue new work with Lead estimator. 

  • Create change orders with Lead estimator.  

  • Collaborate with project managers and estimator on master schedule.   

  • Hire install crew
